Wines
Our selection ranges from a traditional Riesling or Pinot Noir to a trendy Chardonnay or St.Laurent.
We further offer a Sparkling wine made in the traditional Champagne-style just as red wine vinegar and noble spirits.
In particular our main concentration goes to the Riesling and the burgundy varieties.
Riesling is our most planted variety followed by St.Laurent in the red wine section. Pinot Noir is about to extend in our vineyards.
Terroir:
Böchinger Rosenkranz
Our village is surrounded by a quiet varying ground but for the most part it’s clayey gravel with pieces of chalk.
Nußdorfer Herrenberg
An eastern slope of the wine village Nußdorf that is part of the foothills of the "Haardt" highs. The soil is dominated by loess with sandy spots. An excellent terroir for Chardonnay, Pinot blanc and Riesling.
Godramsteiner Münzberg
This is a long slope exposed to the south. A heavy clayey earth with plenty of chalkstones assures an excellent burgundy-style wine.
Frankweiler Biengarten
This plot of land is similar to Godramsteiner Münzberg, except it’s situated on a higher altitude. Hence a good spot for Riesling and Burgundy-grapes.
Gleisweiler Hölle
This is a real special place for Riesling due to the red sandstone which preserves the warmth of the day throughout the night and the next morning. The entire vineyard is exposed to the south and protected by the forest.
Burrweiler Schäwer
Under the lee of the wood, this slope consists pure black slate which is unique in our region. Therefore the character of the wine is stamped by the minerals of that ground.
